Workbench update

Life got pretty hectic since my last post. Work hours increased, and then I tore a muscle in my back…

I’m slowly on the mend and finally have some time to share an update for my workbench, which I had planned here.

Using a damp cotton bud worked well to clean up the glue spill

The desk fit perfectly in the cubby. The ipad stand and light are great, and the cutting matt was worth the expense, adding that extra layer of protection to the table surface.

Assembling the hobbyzone modules was time consuming, but very rewarding once the final pieces fit together and all of my tools found their new home. A LOT of sanding was required and if you look carefully you can notice how they aren’t perfect, but I am happy with them.

Later down the line I may replace or upgrade them and having assembled all of these, I know what to look for next time around and can do a better job.

It’s still quite messy, as I haven’t had the time to give it a deep clean and final tidy-up, but I’m moving soon and will have another workbench update!

Once I’m settled into the new house I can make the paint storage modules and get back to work on the Tamiya 1:35 Panther I was working on before.
